A varied diet is vital in order for our bodies to function well.
However, a balanced diet is not always sufficient. Some people,
such as sportsmen and women, need larger amounts of certain nutrients
that the meals we consume cannot supply completely. Naturally, being
so active means they need to eat more. Nonetheless, eating more does
not guarantee optimal performance and recovery. Indeed, physical
activity requires specific needs :
In terms of quality. The need for certain nutritional elements
increases, thus the food consumed by sportsmen and women must take
this into account..
In terms of quantity. Each of these nutrients should be available
in optimum quantities, neither too much nor too little, and in such
a way that they can be assimilated efficiently, ensuring that they
do not impede each other's actions, but reinforce them.
In terms of sequence. The body's needs change before, during
and just after effort, and it requires food appropriate to each of
these moments. Although normal meals constitute the basis of our nutrition,
they are not adapted to specific needs related to these three moments.
Each of them corresponds to different states of our body and form
the basis of our B.D.A.method,
a unique three step concept of "before,
during, after"
that makes Punch power an original and indispensable range
of foods aimed at optimising performance.
